National carrier Gulf Air celebrated Bahraini Women’s Day today at the airline’s headquarters.
Addressing the female employees on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Samer Majali said, “I take this opportunity to congratulate all Bahraini women for their significant achievements and contributions to the Kingdom as we celebrate Bahraini Women’s Day initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Women.”
“Gulf Air has played a key role in the development of its workforce, and takes this opportunity to celebrate the female employees who have been working with the airline for years and continue to play a key role in its development. My special thanks go to all for their dedication and support to their national carrier.”
Commemorating the Bahraini Women’s Day, the national carrier featured a few of its dedicated Bahraini employees from various departments through a social media campaign on Gulf Air’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
Gulf Air has been a pioneer in encouraging and offering career opportunities for national women; the airline, in association with Tamkeen, has been recruiting several Bahraini women in its frontline customer facing positions such as cabin crew in the past few years.
