Philippines tourism getting foreign recognition

The Department of Tourism considers the world recognitions and the attraction of the places in Philippines to the international tourists as two of the milestones that tourism reached on the first year of the Marcos government.
Just prior to the second state of the nation address of the President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the DOT said that the country has taken some decisive steps towards the target of changing the country as Asia’s tourism powerhouse.
It flaunted the information that the Philippines and its places continue to grab international traction and honor from the largest award-giving organization in the industry.
As the Leading Beach Destination of the world, followed by the Leading Dive and Tourist Attraction in the world, Philippines grabbed the awards at the 2022 World Travel Awards.
Also, the country hailed as the Leading Country Destination of the world at the Uzakrota Global Travel Awards organized in Turkey.
The Philippines was identified as the Emerging Muslim-Friendly Destination as well. It happened at the Halal in Travel Awards 2023 arranged in Singapore.
The country for the Asia category in 2023 is competing for six titles at the 30th WTA.
Also, the DOT observed the resurgence of tourism in 2022 after the country pulled 2.65 million international arrivals.
