Vietnam-Kerala ties to boost tourism

On Tuesday, the Ambassador of Vietnam to India, Nguyen Thanh Hai, said that a new flight service would soon be connecting Kerala with Vietnam.
The Ambassador, who had discussions with Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of the southern Indian state, said that this newly introduced service would be helpful for the regions in various spheres.
Mr. Vijayan also stated that a nonstop flight from Kochi to Ho Chi Minh City would assist Kerala to strengthen its relationship with Vietnam. He also said that a team from Ben Tre, southern Vietnam region, had by now visited Kerala and set up ties with the State.
He anticipates that the association would improve tourism and do good business between the two regions and guaranteed the Ambassador of support in the effort.
